For these reasons, shamans associate the jaguar with the realm of ideas that allow us to explore, plan, and create a sudden shift in situations through changing our perspective. It’s the level at which we think and feel; here our brains also experience alpha waves, which are associated with meditation and relaxation, lucid dreaming, and the state of awareness we experience as we’re just falling asleep or awake. Operating from jaguar helps us manifest our dreams, as we use our minds and emotions to carry out our intent. It’s our minds and emotions, and the unconscious actions that result from them, that keep us in a nightmare populated by the stock characters of victim, bully, and rescuer. The roles that we believed that we are ‘playing’ in the reality. “We are what we believe”
Humans are greatly influenced by the society moral values, the instructional thinking approach taught by the current educational system, and the upbringing of family. Our beliefs have great influential power on our perceptive to control the way we behave, and how we act or react to the world outside the body. Hence, we are responsible for getting ourselves stuck in difficult situations by overthinking and emotionally attached to someone, physical material(s) or an event. Trapping ourselves to serve as a victim while waiting for our ‘hero’ to rescue us from the bully.

MUNAY-KI Rite TWO – Bands of Power Rite
There are five energy belts are woven into your luminous energy field (LEF) for protection. They act as filters, breaking down any negative energies that come toward you into one of the five elements, earth, air, fire, water and light, feeding your LEF instead of allowing those energies to make you sick. Once activated, the Bands of Power are always ‘on’. In the world filled with fear, the bands provide essential protection.
THE MEDITATION STEPS
After you are initiated to the Rite, you are connected to the energies of that individual Rite, the lineage and the keepers (spirits) of that Rite. Hence, we could call upon the spirits of that individual Rite to come forth to assist us, to heal or seek insights in certain areas of our life that we need guidance.
- Find a place or a space where you could meditation.
- Relax your body tensions, quieting your mind and thoughts. Focus on your breathing.
- Within you (not necessarily to say it out), recite these lines:
“Pachamama, Pachapapa, Spirits of the Apus and Keepers of Bands of Power Rite.
Assist me in my healing process or strengthen my energy field.
(you can set your intention for your meditation. Traditionally, the Shamans mediate to ‘know’, no need to set intention.) “
The Munay-Ki meditations are traditionally done in the nature where we connect our physical bodies to Mother Earth (Pachamama) and all creation. In the modern society, as our lifestyles diverse from the traditional ways of living, we mediate in spaces at one’s convenience.
