Sound Circles

Music and sound have been used therapeutically for thousands of years. Most ancient cultures understood the magical power of sound. Sound therapy has undergone a period of re-discovery and is now rapidly gaining popularity. Studies (such as Cymatics and Dr. Emoto’s water theory) have proven that sounds / vibrations have strong impact on substance and are able to alter molecules.

The universe and everything in it is moving to specific tones and vibrations. Everything that we know, think, see, feel, or do is energy and vibrations. Every atom, molecule, cell, gland and organ of our human bodies vibrates and is affected by vibrations.

Our negative thoughts and emotions take on denser form of vibrations. These denser patterns gradually work their way inward into our physical bodies. When an organ or body part is healthy, it creates a natural resonant frequency in harmony with the rest of the body. When the vibration of a part of the body is out of harmony, a different sound pattern is established in the affected part of the body and we have blockages and dis-ease.

Healing is the state of coming into balance and harmony. Our bodies are genetically pre-programmed to self-heal if we give them a chance. Sound healing is a very powerful facilitating tool. It helps to dissolve the blockages, allowing us to reconnect with our pure essence. In such expanded states, physical, mental and emotional healing often happens on its own.

The field of sound healing is vast. The more common methods include natural sound like chanting and toning as well as sound instruments that have specific healing frequencies and harmonics like crystal singing bowls; tuning forks; drums; etc.

Human voice comes from deep inside us. Toning, an incredible form of sound healing, is one of the oldest on the planet. The healing effects of crystals are widely known. A rich resonant tone exudes from the singing bowls can move through our body in vibrant waves, calming and aligning our energy centers. The singing bowls are all Crystal Tones® bowls, which are exceptionally pure in tone.

Vibrational paintings are artwork that carry the energy and codes of healing; higher consciousness; transformation; or activation. The energetically coded paintings facilitate our reconnection back to our divine self. A shift can occur in our energy fields and re-awaken the love and joy inside us simply by looking at these work of art.

Art and Sound are powerful facilitating tools that have no barriers. There is no need to learn. Our souls are automatically programmed to ‘know’ and our bodies are genetically gifted to self-heal. The blissful vibrations from the sounds and artwork are able to bring our bodies and consciousness into such expanded states where healing and awakening happen on its own.

A circle has no beginning and ending. It is just an infinite ONE. This circle is set up to be a loving space for awakening and connecting hearts. Individuals gather here to take a break from the ebb and flow of earthly affairs, reconnect within and renew the sacred relationship with the universe; honour the divinity in oneself and others; build brotherhood and sisterhood; as well as share insights and gratitude.

Participants can either sit or lie down on the yoga mats provided. The session is no different from a guided meditation except for the fact that visual (artwork) and audio (sounds) are used instead of words. Everything in the universe is vibrations. Since sounds and art have no language barriers, they are the easiest mode of vibration that one can quickly embrace and understand it at the soul level.

The specific harmonic energy that emanates from singing bowls is determined not only by the bowl size and shape, but the quality of crystals and the manufacturing process. The bowls used during our meditations are all Crystal Tones® singing bowls which are made with a unique patented process, making the bowls powerful sound healing tools. While human voices and singing bowls are the main sound instruments used, other instruments such as chimes; bells; ting sha; etc are often present too.

The energy emitting from the artwork, enhanced by the sounds from the human vocals and instruments, bring the participants into a meditative multidimensional stage allowing greater expansion of their beings. In this stage, healing and transformation at the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels happen automatically.

There is no fixed format, everything flow according to the energy of the group that gathered in the circle. The facilitators usually sing and play for an hour, thereafter participants share their experiences (if they choose to). Many go into deep peace and relaxation during the session. Some feel the vibrations pulsating through their bodies, clearing blockages and releasing tension in the body and energy field. Others experience heightened awareness, seeing colours and receiving insights. Many let their creative self come forth and join in the toning and playing. Often participants are lifted to a place of bliss and feel a sense of ‘coming home’ to themselves.
